CHEMICAL PEEL
A Chemical peel is a technique used to improve the appearance of the skin on the face, neck and even some parts of the body.

A Chemical agent (acid) is applied to the skin that causes it to exfoliate and eventually peel off to reveal new, regenerated skin underneath. The new skin is usually smoother, more luminous, more refined and free of pigmentation irregularities. The new skin is also temporarily more sensitive to the sun and adequate protection measures should be taken.

Peels are classified according to their penetrating and renewal capabilities:

-
Superficial/lunchtime peels
-
Medium Peels
-
Deep Peels
A Comprehensive skin analysis should be done before the commencement of any peels as skin type dictates which peels are appropriate.
